Floor screeding services

Floor screeding services

Floor screeding services are an important part of the finishing process of transforming newly built, refurbished or renovated buildings into liveable spaces.

Clockwork Screed provide floor screeding services for building projects across the North West. We source, deliver and install liquid floor screed on floors, with or without underfloor heating, to create a smooth surface on which a final floor layer such as carpet, tiles or laminate can be applied.

How we screed your floors

At Clockwork Screed, the professional way we screed your floors begins with the use of high performance cementitious liquid floor screeds that are suitable for internal rooms as well as outdoor areas, even those exposed to wet weather. The liquid floor screed is batch-produced on site and pumped to exactly where you need it.

We offer a speedy service when we screed your floors, without compromising on quality or performance. In one day we can cover over 1000m² of floor space which helps to minimise project timescales, allowing the overall project to continue quickly, without delays.

Benefits of liquid floor screed

The benefits of liquid floor screed over calcium sulphate (anhydrite) screeds are:

  • Liquid floor screed can be used on outdoor areas
  • Liquid floor screed dries quickly, allowing footfall within 24 to 48 hours
  • Liquid floor screed facilitates the speedy application of a final floor finish; moisture levels just need to be reduced to 2.5%CM (anhydrite screeds require additional waiting time until the moisture levels get down to 0.5%CM which can take months).
  • Liquid floor screed is ideal for underfloor heating systems because it:

                              -provides excellent thermal conductivity

-self-compacts so doesn’t create voids or bubbles around pipework

-can be laid as thinly as 25mm which enhances the responsiveness of the heating system and allows for space for more powerful underfloor heating insulation

-has shrinkage rates of under 0.05%

-produces no laitance (dust) after curing

-is compatible with all cement-based adhesives including fast-track systems.
