Floor screeding - the process

A successful floor screeding process requires adequate preparation. Clockwork Screed firstly set up the screed pump and review the floor measurements to double check the order of floor screed is sufficient for the area to be covered.

Several tripod levelling gauges are put in place and adjusted to a consistent depth through the use of a laser to ensure the finished surface will be level.

Once the floor is prepared, the pre-mixed screed is pumped through a hose onto the floor until the surface level is in line with the tripods which can then be removed.

To ensure there are no bubbles and that the screed is level and smooth, we dapple the material until it is compact, level and smooth. We can apply liquid screed to around 1,000m² of floor space in a day.

Floor screed for underfloor heating

The demand for floor screed has increased due the popularity with underfloor heating. When used in conjunction with underfloor heating systems, floor screed acts as a thermal conductivity, assisting in the distribution of heat evenly throughout the room.

Because of its strength, liquid screed may be installed with a 25mm thickness, allowing the underfloor heating to penetrate the screed and raise the room's temperature more quickly while using less energy.

Floor screeding services

We provide high-quality installation of a variety of high-performance cementitious liquid floor screeds that can be used with or without underfloor heating. Our floor screed is easy to apply and our team can cover 1000m2 in a day.

Our drying screed time is 24 to 48 hours and can be used in any part of a project, including outdoor and damp environment-exposed areas. Floor coverings can then be applied to our cementitious liquid floor screeds with moisture levels at 2.5%CM whereas anhydrite screeds need to get down to 0.5%CM.
