Floor screeding contractor

Fast drying floor screeding company for busy construction sites

Our fast drying, cementitious liquid floor screed is beneficial to busy construction sites that are working to hard deadlines. Thanks to liquid screed’s fast drying properties, main contractors and other trades can walk on our floor screed within 24 to 48 hours of installation. Works traffic can restart after a few days and floor coverings can be applied within 4-6 weeks, or maybe even after 7 days if forced drying techniques are used.

By reducing screed drying time, busy construction site projects can progress much more quickly than those that use traditional sand and cement screed which takes several more weeks to dry.

Fast drying floor screed tips:

  • Warmer room temperatures and lower humidity speed up drying times, with a temperature of around 20°C being ideal
  • Good air circulation is recommended after the initial 24 hours.

iNTERIOR FLOOR SCREEDING

Interior floor screeding is ideal for a range of applications. Once such application is underfloor heating systems, for which floor screeding provides exceptional coverage over pipework, removing the risk of bubbles or voids around the underfloor heating components.

Because the interior floor screed can be laid as thinly as 25mm, it provides excellent thermal conductivity. The screed distributes the heat evenly and effectively, thereby improving the performance and responsiveness of the entire underfloor heating system.

Clockwork Screed’s cementitious screed is durable and shrinkage-resistant, producing shrinkage rates of under 0.05%.

Outdoor floor screeding

Another benefit of cementitious screed is that, unlike anhydrite screeds, it can be used as outdoor floor screeding, even in areas that might be exposed to wet weather conditions.

Outdoor floor screeding can make projects such as the construction of outdoor paving and patio areas much easier to complete. It creates a level surface and can be used to manipulate the area to drain towards a specific point.

Floor screeding can also be used to transform rough, concrete outdoor surfaces. With a trend towards contemporary fine lines and clean finishes, this is a popular use of outdoor floor screeding.

Floor screeding company with cementitious liquid screeds

How do you benefit from working with a floor screeding company with cementitious liquid screeds, rather than traditional or anhydrite screeds?

  • Faster project completion because liquid screeds dry more quickly
  • Enhanced underfloor heating performance. Because liquid screed compacts it doesn’t produce gaps around the pipework from which heat could escape. Our cementitious liquid screed also produces exceptional thermal conductivity
  • Thin application. A floor screeding company with cementitious liquid screeds can lay screed to much lower thicknesses. Our cementitious liquid screed can be laid as thinly as 25mm yet offer the same level of strength. This saves space in depth, keeps costs down and optimises the performance of underfloor heating systems
  • A final floor finish can be applied earlier. Cementitious liquid screed moisture levels only need to reach 2.5%CM before floor finishes can be applied. Anhydrite screeds must reach 0.5%CM which can take months to achieve
