Liquid screed and poured insulation for a new residential property in Ribchester, Lancashire

A Ribchester property owner approached Clockwork Screed to install liquid floor screed and poured floor insulation in his new build residential property.

About the project

The large detached property is located in rural Lancashire. Clockwork Screed services were required for two floors:

·      Lower ground floor – to install poured insulation and floor screed

·      Ground floor – to apply liquid floor screed

Insulation and screed from a single supplier

Clockwork Screed supplies and installs both high quality poured floor insulation and liquid floor screed. Having one point of contact for both applications was a significant benefit to our client, and it removed the risks associated with separate suppliers co-ordinating schedules.

Clockwork Screed cementitious, high performance liquid floor screed can be laid as thinly as 25mm, yet it is incredibly strong. It is self-levelling and self-compacts, so is ideal for producing smooth floors on top of underfloor heating systems.

Insulation and screed from a single truck – ideal for rural locations

Working in a rural location can create challenges with accessibility and transportation for other suppliers. They can find it difficult to organise logistics and ensure a consistent supply of insulation and screed, often needing multiple trips for one project. However, this presented no difficulties for Clockwork Screed.

Our ‘all in one go’ onsite mixing truck can supply liquid floor screed and poured insulation from one vehicle and pump both to a distance of up to 100 metres. For this project, we were able to locate our mixer truck at the gate, some distance from the house and clear of the road, and pump the insulation and screed along the long driveway to the two floors where they were needed.
