After being poured into a room, liquid screed is self-levelling which removes the need for manual intervention. Clockwork Screed cementitious liquid screed is exceptionally strong and durable, yet can be laid as thinly as 25mm. It is fast drying and able to withstand footfall within 24 to 48 hours, which means timber flooring contractors can get onto site quickly.



Unlike anhydrite screeds that require screed moisture levels to have come down to 0.5%CM (Calcium Carbide Method) before flooring can be laid, floor finishes can be applied sooner on Clockwork Screed subfloors, when the liquid screed has reached just 2.5%CM.

Liquid screed is ideal for underfloor heating systems because it offers exceptional thermal conductivity. At just 25mm thick, liquid screed also provides room for a thicker application of insulation under the underfloor heating system which enhances its responsiveness and performance.

Once applied, the liquid screed also self-compacts which means it doesn’t create bubbles or air pockets around the underfloor heating pipework. This makes the system more efficient by preventing uneven heating, cold spots and reduced heat output.
